10 Observations about Opening Weekend

1. Peyton Manning looked rusty. His stats were solid, but he threw three passes into the chests of Giants defenders. Lucky for him they dropped all three.

2. Carson Palmer is all the way back. He is not too far behind Peyton Manning in the best QB in the league race if you ask me.

3. Rex Grossman silenced his critics for one weekend. It was the Packers he was beating up on and not the Panthers or Seahawks, but he looked good none the less.

4. Herm Edwards has already ruined the Chiefs. In just one preseason he has stalled one of the league's best offenses.

5. The Steelers are going to miss The Bus. There is no way around it. While the 'Fins didn't put up much of a fight against Willie Parker the black and gold will have a hard time grinding out wins in December and January.

6. Reggie Bush is for real and the Saints coaching staff looks like they know what they are doing. I was impressed by the use of both backs.

7. The Cleveland Browns are in trouble. While their talent level has risen they still look clueless. They abandoned the run before the game even got started. If they are going to put all of that pressure on Charlie Frye then they are going to battle the 49ers for the 1st pick in the draft.

8. Speaking of the 49ers, I love Alex Smith. The fans want to hate on him, but he and Bryant are already on the same page and I think in two or three years the red and gold will find their way back to respectability.

9. The Arizona Cardinals are only as good as Kurt Warner. Kurt looked awesome in week one, but his offensive line is going to get him killed. And then Leinhart will step in and make millions of rookie mistakes and the Cardinals will disappear again.

10. Tennessee is a bad bad bad football team. Kerry Collins, the bumblin' drunk, couldn't find the endzone if a hooter's girl was standing in it with a pitcher of beer. Let Vince Young play. You're the morons that picked him so you might as well let him take his lumps while you suck and the whole team can develop together through the rebuilding stage.

What do you guys think?

The Steelers still have a "Bus". He goes by the name of Heath Miller. He will be the 1rst or 2nd and goal go-to guy. Willie Parker is no slouch. I didn't see him trying to avoid a tackle very often. I saw him running at and over people. The Bus is missed but the Steelers have an answer.

Actaully the Steelers still do have a "Bus". He that Haynes kid...they have hime to do the bus job. Now he might not have the same quick feet as the "Bus". He is big a can still grind out the hard yards...plus he has good hands so he can catch the ball out of the backfield...So yes the bus is going to be miss but I think the Black and gold are going to to be ok.
