Another One Bites The Dust
The Bills failed to beat the J E T S and that spells doom for Pops. He joins Nick on the sidelines. The only undecided game left is Stephen's Patriots. We will see how that plays out shortly.

And Then There Were 12
Well 12 of us are on to week 3. This week seems to be a bit tougher than week 2 and it could spell doom for another player.
As usual picks are due Friday. PLEASE email them to me this week and don't call me or text me. I will be laid up in the bed for a few days and likely won't be checking my phone too much.
Good Luck.

Our first casualty
One down. Nick falls thanks to the power running of Frank Gore. Oh how the canes need him now more than ever.
Anyway Nick, thanks for playing. If the season wraps quickly we might play again. And feel free to keep checkin the site and postin on the message boards.
One man left today. Pops has dallas.

These teams have advanced...Nick is nervous as the niners give the rams hell right now and later we'll see if Pops has an inside scoop on the Cowboys against the skins.

Last Call
Letting you know that I am waiting for two final picks (Smith and Pops) and then I will post them all on here. This week seems a little easier than last week so I am expecting at least one or two people to fall this week. When things seem easy in the NFL then things usually turn bad quickly.

10 Observations about Opening Weekend
1. Peyton Manning looked rusty. His stats were solid, but he threw three passes into the chests of Giants defenders. Lucky for him they dropped all three.
2. Carson Palmer is all the way back. He is not too far behind Peyton Manning in the best QB in the league race if you ask me.
3. Rex Grossman silenced his critics for one weekend. It was the Packers he was beating up on and not the Panthers or Seahawks, but he looked good none the less.
4. Herm Edwards has already ruined the Chiefs. In just one preseason he has stalled one of the league's best offenses.
5. The Steelers are going to miss The Bus. There is no way around it. While the 'Fins didn't put up much of a fight against Willie Parker the black and gold will have a hard time grinding out wins in December and January.
6. Reggie Bush is for real and the Saints coaching staff looks like they know what they are doing. I was impressed by the use of both backs.
7. The Cleveland Browns are in trouble. While their talent level has risen they still look clueless. They abandoned the run before the game even got started. If they are going to put all of that pressure on Charlie Frye then they are going to battle the 49ers for the 1st pick in the draft.
8. Speaking of the 49ers, I love Alex Smith. The fans want to hate on him, but he and Bryant are already on the same page and I think in two or three years the red and gold will find their way back to respectability.
9. The Arizona Cardinals are only as good as Kurt Warner. Kurt looked awesome in week one, but his offensive line is going to get him killed. And then Leinhart will step in and make millions of rookie mistakes and the Cardinals will disappear again.
10. Tennessee is a bad bad bad football team. Kerry Collins, the bumblin' drunk, couldn't find the endzone if a hooter's girl was standing in it with a pitcher of beer. Let Vince Young play. You're the morons that picked him so you might as well let him take his lumps while you suck and the whole team can develop together through the rebuilding stage.
What do you guys think?
